Auto Edit Flow is coming soon

The Mac app is in its final round of testing. It will run on Macs with Apple Silicon (M1 or later), macOS 13 or newer.

The download link will appear on this page the day it opens. Until then, see what it makes on the home page.

When it opens

  1. Download the DMG from this page.
  2. Drag Auto Edit Flow into Applications and open it.
  3. Connect Claude with one line from the setup guide.
  4. Give Claude a voiceover and ask for the video.

What's new

0.22.0

  • Measured on the reference (111 s at 4 fps): the picture changes every 1.25 s (median). New camera_coverage {startSec, endSec, subjects, every} gives one long scene wide / medium / close cuts (or eases) on its subjects every ~1.5 s, each shot drifting 3 % — a
  • Story type system (text presets): story-title (Lilita One, white, thick ink outline + hard shadow, gold key words), story-tag (Gochi Hand caps on a cream tag), story-chapter (Instrument Serif small caps on black), story-bubble (Patrick Hand), story-board (Os
  • Characters keep acting: autoGesture (hands move through present / open / point / fist while talking), new poses glasses, chin-hand, facepalm, both-point, head tilt by emotion, brows lift on stressed words, bust for close-ups.
  • Depth of field: backdrop_add {blur} — a blurred place behind a big close-up.
  • "The Real Turning Point of WW2" v3: every text in the type system, talkers gesture, 6 close-ups with depth on the quoted lines, coverage on 26 scenes (153 shots) — 147 visual changes a minute (was ~100). Test: scripts/test/p56.mjs (7/7).

0.21.0

  • map_add: true country borders (Natural Earth 50m, public domain, via world-atlas) drawn with d3-geo in Mercator — a map camera (views with named views europe / western-europe / channel / dunkirk-pocket / eastern-front / moscow / britain / atlantic / pacific
  • pacing_report now counts what changes INSIDE a clip — a map's camera, fills, labels, pins, arrows, fronts; a character's new pose or expression — so a living map scene is no longer flagged as a dead stretch.
  • Dependencies: d3-geo, topojson-client, world-atlas (downloaded with the user's OK; bundled, works offline). Test: scripts/test/p55.mjs (9/9).
  • "The Real Turning Point of WW2" rebuilt with real maps (eastern front, Kursk, the Dunkirk pocket, Germany 1939, the resource routes, the Allies + navy blockade + USSR + USA, Austria → Czechia → Poland, the Ardennes cut, the canals, Paris, Britain alone) and

0.20.0

  • Walking toons: toon_add {walk:[[s,e]]} — legs swing from the hip, the body bobs, hanging arms counter-swing (move the clip with clip_animate x).
  • 14 more cast presets: armaments-minister, industrialist, field-marshal, air-marshal, british-general, british-admiral, foreign-secretary, british-soldier (Brodie helmet), french-soldier (kepi), german-soldier, tank-crew (side cap), pilot, volunteer, economis
  • 8 more places for backdrop_add: forest-hq, factory, harbor, sky, road, bunker-line, cabinet, map-europe (schematic).
  • 22 history drawings in the library (drawing:"history tank" …): prop plane, fighter 1940, bomber, destroyer, carrier, small boat, paddle steamer, trawler, truck, tank, staff car, locomotive, telegram, document, oil barrel, coal cart, shell crate, radio, field
  • Effects tab ▸ Characters + Scenes: one click adds any cast member or place at the playhead.

0.19.0

  • New motion zoom-pop: the scene lands with a fast, big zoom — starts ~55 % closer (× strength), snaps into place in 0.25 s on a steep ease-out with a touch of motion blur — then keeps zooming slowly (≈1.2 %/s), so it never stops dead. Pivots on the subject; n
  • It is an accent for a few key moments, never every scene: Effects ▸ Pictures ▸ “Zoom pop-in on N selected” puts it on the selected scenes only (Light / Medium / Strong = smaller / normal / bigger pop), Remove takes it off (back to the slow zoom). Per clip: I
  • clips_motion_all takes ids (only those clips, videos included) and includeVideo. Test: scripts/test/p51.mjs (12/12).
  • Editor toolbar: ‹ Projects moved to the far left (where "back" lives), next to the project name.
  • Status bar: "Proxy 0/0" in orange (looked like an error when there was nothing to build) now reads a quiet Fast preview.

0.18.2

  • P36 (layout check + skills v2, from a second NotebookLM study: 72 sources, typography, layout, backgrounds, raw editing, editor craft):
  • P35 (script drawings built from parts): script.run sends only the drawings a script names. A name built at run time ('story ' + n) was dropped whenever the same script also named another drawing in full, so it failed with no drawing "story property tax bill"
  • P35 (counter with no count): number.add {countSec: 0.01} (a number that should just sit there) rounded to 0 frames, and every frame export or render inside it failed with inputRange must be strictly monotonically increasing. The count now lasts at least 1 fr

0.18.1

  • P34 (story icon pack ships with the app):
  • Includes P32/P33 below. With 2,000+ shapes, every icon is reachable by name; 0.18.0 stopped at the first 500.
  • P33 (icon library swap):
  • P32 (riso icon pack): drawing:"name" looked only at the first 500 library shapes. A big pack, such as the 800-icon riso set, would have made later icons unreachable; the limit is now 20,000. Test in p30.mjs.

0.18.0

  • P31 (SFX library audit):
  • P30 (pro-editing research, via a NotebookLM deep study with 68 sources and 22 YouTube tutorials):
  • P29 (19-minute 16:9 paper explainer, "Invested $400 a Month"):
  • P28 (Klickpin "Timing" recreation):

0.17.1

  • Windows build (.exe installer) of 0.17.0 — same features, version bumped for the Windows release.
